One of British rock's most enduring figures comes to the Kent coast for an intimate Sunday evening show.
John Verity has been turning heads for over six decades — from the northern club circuit to Florida, where he opened for Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, to the frontman's role in Argent, the band behind the classic Hold Your Head Up. Studio years followed, producing and recording alongside Ringo Starr, The Zombies, Motörhead and Smokie, before the pull of live performance brought him back to where he belongs: front of stage with his own band.
His renaissance on the blues-rock circuit has drawn both long-time devotees and new converts, with critics calling him "one of rock's real national treasures" and live reviewers noting he could fill a stadium as comfortably as a club. At East Quay — one of Kent's finest intimate venues, right on the Whitstable harbourfront — you'll be close enough to understand exactly why.

A true survivor, the first John Verity Band was gigging in 1969 before John moved on to join Argent, Phoenix and Charlie. John has also worked with the likes of Motorhead, Colin Blunstone and The Searchers. John reformed JVB in 2001, and has been wowing the crowds ever since.
