Don and Phil Everly were one of the top acts in rock 'n roll history, responsible for bringing the close-harmony singing tradition into the pop genre. Their 1957 hit Bye Bye Love started an avalanche of hits including Wake Up Little Susie, Cathy's Clown and Crying In the Rain. After an acrimonious split in 1973, the duo reformed a decade later, and were eventually inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Phil Everly passed away in January 2014 at the age of 74.
