Stan Tracey CBE is often described as 'The Godfather of British Jazz'. Now 83 years old, his most recent CD 'Senior Moment' was described as his freshest recording for some time. Professional since 1943, he was house pianist at London's Ronnie Scott's Club for 6 years, working with greats like Ben Webster, Sonny Rollins and Roland Kirk. He has led his own groups since the 60's, recording the UK's most famous jazz album 'Under Milk Wood'. He has also received numerous awards and accolades.
