Irish BBC Radio2 broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan had a long and illustrious career in TV and radio. Perhaps best known for his amusing commentary for the BBC on the Eurovision Song Contest, and as the main regular presenter of Children in Need for more than 30 years, Wogan's career began at Radio Telefis Eireann, before he got his big break on BBC Radio1 in the 1960s. He continued to work for the BBC for most of his career. He passed away in January 2016, aged 77.
