Fotheringay Tour Dates

Fotheringay were formed in 1970 by Sandy Denny on her departure from Fairport Convention. The band were named after the song from the 1969 Fairport Convention album "What we did on our holidays". She was joined by Trevor Lucas and Gerry Conway from Eclection. Finishing the line up were Jerry Donahue and Pat Donaldson of Poet and the One Man Band.

Despite their highly revered debut album peaking at number 18 in the UK charts Fotheringay disbanded in 1971 with Sandy Denny enjoying a successful solo career before her passing in 1978. Trevor Lucas, Gerry Conway and Jerry Donahue all joined Fairport Convention in 1972.

The unfinished second Fotheringay album was finally issued in 2008 as "Fotheringay 2" which subsequently introduced a whole new audience to the incredible music of the band.
