From the Blue Mountains in Australia, this quartet embrace the alt-folk tradition, with Neil Young-inspired vocals and inventive pop melodies. The band salutes the music of yesteryear with boy/girl harmonies, falling somewhere between Fleetwood Mac, The Shins and Fleet Foxes. In 2007 they recorded their debut EP live to analogue tape, inside a stone house in the Blue Mountains. Their debut album, 'Bliss Release' was released in the UK in May 2011 to critical acclaim, and won the Australian Music Prize, the antipodean equivalent of the Mercury Prize. The band have spent countless hours in the backs of vans and tour buses notching up over four hundred gigs across the globe including support slots with Vampire Weekend, Weezer and Arcade Fire.

Have Your Say

Very good, albeit short set.  This is a band with a real future.  They lived up to the online hype, have a great sound and engaged well with the crowd in a quirky venue.  Shame the support band (Big Deal) didn't do the same despite a couple… (cont'd) Misspelt Youth
