About the show
A very special candlelit concert.
Featuring
Eimear Quinn
Eimear Quinn is celebrated as Ireland's most recent Eurovision Song Contest winner (1996)
with ‘The Voice’ by Brendan Graham. Her distinctive fusion of folk, sacred, and classical music
has garnered her numerous honors, including a spot in the Classic FM Hall of Fame for her
composition ‘In Paradisum’ for four consecutive years.
Fans of Irish music and song this winter-time, will be thrilled that Eimear Quinn
has a new release: SONGS OF WINTER DREAMING.
As one of the leading Irish voices of her generation, Eimear Quinn’s ethereal voice has
become synonymous with the season for many, since her platinum-selling album ‘O Holy
Night’ in 2007.
Every winter, Eimear tours across Ireland, and she felt it was time to produce a new collection
of winter-themed music: Eimear says
“Touring and connecting with audiences each December has become a significant part of my
life, as we immerse ourselves in the magic of the season and escape the frantic pace of life
through the music for a couple of hours. The audience has been requesting more winter and
Christmas songs for quite some time, so I’m thrilled to announce that it’s finally here this
November!
I aimed to create an album that transitions musically from autumn to winter, the
Solstice, Christmas, and into the new year. It’s essentially a collection of songs with themes of
connectedness and hope”.
