Step inside the world of Circu5 (pronounced sur-kuh-five): a band hailed as “equal parts hip-shaking shock rock and technical, winding prog” (Prog) and “the perfect blend of muscle and melody, of grace and grit” (The Big Takeover). Featuring Steve Tilling (TC&I, EXTC), Lee Moulding (TC&I, Rewire The Time Machine), Mark Kilminster (Tin Spirits) and Paul New (Hypermuse), roll up and witness Circu5 unleash their twisted repertoire where it belongs – live on stage. Support comes from renowned singer-songwriter, George Wilding. His first EP ‘Being Ragdollian’ was picked up by BBC Radio Two and received airplay from Graham Norton and Janice Long. He has worked with Swindon production team Lighterthief , Mikey Rowe from the High Flying Birds, and Andy Partridge of XTC.

Circu5

Circu5 appearing at this event

Circu5 [sur-kuh-five] is a British band blending contemporary guitar-driven rock with evocative songwriting and storytelling. The band brings to life the story of ‘Grady’: a character raised as a psychopath in a secret organisation called Circu5. Founded as a solo project by Steve Tilling, Circu5's self-titled debut album featured performances from musicians including Dave Gregory (XTC). Clockwork Tulpa is CIRCU5's second album (and first as a full band), featuring Steve Tilling (vocals, guitar), Mark Kilminster (bass, vocals), Lee Moulding (drums, vocals) and Paul New (guitar, vocals).

George Wilding

George Wilding is an English singer songwriter from Avebury, Wiltshire. He taught himself to play the guitar after his younger brother started having lessons, and was writing his own songs by the age of twelve. He had shown no particular interest in music in his formative years other than a tendency to hum words rather than speak them. Shying away from talent shows, he preferred instead to gain experience performing at local open mic slots where he has developed a loyal following. He describes his songs as abstract stories.
