About the show
Labyrinthine oceans fully formed in 2023, and they entered into the Grunge-Gaze alternative scene with their debut EP “everyone was alive”. Taking influence from the likes of Radiohead, julie, and Deftones, they create a dreamscape of guitar-based noise with dense layers of discomfort. Pairing this with captivating vocals, which together create a strong visual presence for the band. labyrinthine oceans has previously played alongside Been Stellar and Venus Grrrls. While also playing at Kendal Calling Festival and in Belgium. “as though the musical companion to plath's the bell jar” – NARC. magazine "something that feels just ever so slightly alien, exciting to behold" "underground legends in the making" - the vinyl fantasy "local dream rock legends" - f54 “gorgeously ethereal” - the crack

Labyrinthine Oceans
Labyrinthine Oceans are a Newcastle based female fronted experimental alt rock band who formed in early 2022. They create dreamscapes of guitar based noise, featuring soaring guitar solos and sultry but slightly gritty vocals; paired with ethereal visuals and captivating imagery. Inspired by 90s alt, grunge, psychedelia, shoegaze and good old rock and roll, they create something that is not necessarily identifiable but very much exciting.
