About the show

The Bathers will be performing a selection of songs from their Pandemonia album, originally released in 1999 (recently reissued after 25 years by Last Night From Glasgow).

The Bathers were formed by Chris Thomson after his group Friends Again split up in 1985. The debut album by The Bathers, Unusual Places To Die, was released on Go Discs in 1987, followed by another 8 albums (released on Island, Marina, Wrasse, Last Night From Glasgow).

"Is Glasgow the most romantic city on earth? The work of the Bathers can make you believe so. Kisses on tenement stairwells, Kelvingrove girls. It’s the music of those Glasgow evenings where the elusive sun can make a late appearance on the red sandstone tenements and suddenly that tough old imperial city feels like the perfect place to fall in love. And The Bathers provide the soundtrack."

Featuring guest appearances from Belle & Sebastian’s Isobel Campbell and Richard Colburn. Also Catherine Leroy, Mario Caribé, Neil Cameron and Bather regulars…Callum McNair, Hazel Morrison, Robert Henderson, Barry Overstreet & Iain White
