Trarcy is joint chief curator for Historic Royal Palaces, and Chief Executive of the Heritage Education Trust, a charity that encourages children to visit and learn from historic properties. She is a successful author and broadcaster, with a long list of acclaimed novels and historical biographies including The King’s Witch’and The Private Lives of the Tudors.
