About the show
Live stand-up comedy in the heart of Stockport! Join us at Thread in the Market Place for an evening of exhilarating live comedy.
Daisy Earl is a multi-award winning comedian and one of the best loved acts on the UK comedy scene, playing all of the most prestigious comedy clubs. Naturally funny and a gifted storyteller, Daisy’s style and sharp edge makes her an audience favourite.
Daisy has provided tour support for Jason Manford, John Bishop and Tom Stade and has performed alongside her comedy hero Sarah Millican in Sarah’s live new material show ‘Playground’.
Daisy has appeared on TV on BBC Comedy Underground and on radio on BBC Radio 4 Best of the Fest & BBC Scotland’s Breaking the News. She has performed sell out runs at both Edinburgh & Adelaide Fringe and appeared at Utrecht Comedy Festival, Tramlines, Rewind, Belladrum, Kendal Calling & Latitude Festival.
“Crisp storytelling talent and self-deprecating humour, a rare cunning, defiant attitude. Hilarious” – Chortle “Strikingly honest and hilarious” – Huffington Post
Colin Manford blends cheeky Northern charm, quick wit and natural audience interaction as a highly likeable and adaptable act who combines storytelling, observational comedy and crowd work to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere for audiences of all ages. A regular performer across the UK comedy circuit, he is also an accomplished writer having written for 8 Out of 10 Cats and Walk on the Wild Side.
“Naturally and effortlessly funny.” – Alex Boardman
Eryn Tett is a multi award-winning comedian whose “o?-kilter observations and surreal ideas are often brilliant” (British Comedy Guide). As seen on BBC3, CH4 playgrounds and U&Dave’s Rosie Jones’ Disability Comedy Extravaganza, Eryn’s known for her “memorable, distinctive new voice” (The Telegraph), which brings a “truly one-of-a-kind comedic experience” (Blizzard Comedy) to the world of one-liner stand up.
Described as “fast moving...and absurd” Eryn's stand up is made up of word play, short jokes, odd observations and surreal storytelling set to a charmingly uncomfortable rhythm.
“Unique in all the best ways…so fun to watch. She’s going to be massive” – Adam Hess “An engagingly idiosyncratic act” – Chortle
Jonny Addy is your host for the evening. A Stockport lad, he’s part-geek, part-sorcerer, his mind is a crackling whirlwind of chaotic energy, fizzing with possibilities as he takes to the stage.
This show has two intervals and an expected finish time of 10pm. All acts subject to change. Refunds can only be given if we cancel the show. Over 16s only (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult). Unreserved seating. Please laugh responsibly.
