Arts Council England and Bazm-e-Sukoon proudly present RAAG Qawwali Group - UK-born and bred 9th-generation qawwals - for an unforgettable evening of soulful music and timeless poetry.

This special performance, Kalaam-e-Iqbal, pays homage to the profound words of Allama Iqbal, brought to life through the powerful and devotional art of Qawwali. Blending traditional Sufi music with heartfelt interpretations of Iqbal’s poetry, the group illuminates his message of spirituality, self-discovery, and unity. The evening will also feature iconic kalaams of the legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, creating a beautiful and seamless musical dialogue between two great traditions.

Grandsons of the classical legend Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan, and trained under their esteemed Ustads, RAAG Qawwali Group weaves commanding vocals, harmonium, tabla, and dynamic rhythms into an emotionally rich, immersive experience. Their performance embodies deep heritage and refined artistry - capturing the true essence of Qawwali in its purest form.
