About the show
At the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing, the threat of closure hangs heavy. To keep the convent’s doors open, Sister Philamena and Sister Augusta have been secretly making and selling award-winning wine behind the Mother Superior’s back.
When two eager local reporters (and former fiancés) go undercover as a priest and a nun to get the scoop, the convent is thrown into a tailspin, and the Mother Superior becomes convinced that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down.
What follows is a frantic comedy of errors full of slammed doors, mistaken identities, hidden bottles and holy panic. Tom Smith’s Drinking Habits is a classic theatrical farce that celebrates the joy of live comedy. Grab your glass and prepare for a riotous evening at Skipton Little Theatre.
Directed by Tristesse James and Susan Hartley.
