A programme of jazz, blues, and the spectacular Rhapsody in Blue, presented by two virtuoso musicians, Mike Hatchard, piano and Pete Long, clarinet and saxophone.
Special guest vocalist Julie Roberts.
Rhapsody in Blue is one of the most popular and famous jazz compositions ever written. It is as fresh and exciting today as it was 102 years ago when George Gershwin composed it in a mere five weeks. Mike Hatchard piano and Pete Long clarinet will deliver a thrilling performance.
Mike Hatchard’s Jazz Breakfasts take place in the Queen Elizabeth Room in the Shoreham Centre, BN43 5WU (map below) on the first Sunday of each month. Guests are assured of a friendly relaxed atmosphere, and top musicians who vary from month to month. The musicianship is always impressive, and laughs are never too far away.

Mike Hatchard
Acclaimed jazz pianist and composer, this multi talented instrumentalist also play violin and clarinet. His works have included musical interpretations of the classic tales, rhymes and children's stories.

Pete Long
A graduate of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Pete Long is a virtuoso clarinettist and saxophonist and probably best known as the leader of the 'Echoes of Ellington' big band.
