Based in Yorkshire the Maranello Trio comprises Jamie Taylor (guitar), Adrian Knowles (double bass) and Jason Scott (piano). The trio play regularly throughout the U.K at jazz venues (most recently at Zeffirellis, which is often referred to as the Ronnie Scott's of the north!).
All three members are professional musicians who graduated from Leeds Conservatoire; in addition to playing in the Maranello Trio they all work with other professional musical ensembles as well as teaching and lecturing at various educational institutions.
The Maranello Trio
The Maranello Trio comprises Jamie Taylor (guitar), Adrian Knowles (double bass), and Jason Scott (piano) who perform mainly swinging jazz standards, very similar to the Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole trios of bygone years. In addition the Maranello Trio also perform arrangements of more popular songs in this jazz idiom. Based in the north of England the Maranello Trio have played together for over ten years, travelling throughout the U.K. to perform in a variety of jazz clubs and venues. All three members of the trio are professional musicians who graduated from Leeds Conservatoire; in addition to playing in the trio they all work with other professional musical ensembles, having played at some of the U.K.'s most prestigious jazz venues, to include Ronnie Scott's, the Dean Street Pizza Express in London, Peggy's Skylight jazz venue in Nottingham and Wakefield Jazz Club.
