This October, two of the most influential banjo players in modern acoustic music unite for a landmark tour across the UK and Ireland. The Banjo Besties Tour brings together Damien O’Kane and Ron Block with their band - artists whose work has redefined the possibilities of the banjo within their respective traditions.

Damien O'Kane
Steeped in music, Damien O’Kane grew up in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, with a deep respect and understanding of the folk tradition, yet which also forged a healthy appetite to explore its broadest borders and test its boundaries.
He’s a singer. A very good one, too, with a relaxed, assured vocal style that exudes a natural warmth and empathy with the colourful characters who occupy his songs.

Multi-instrumentalist Ron Block is a legend among bluegrass fans. Long time sideman to Alison Krauss and member of the Grammy-winning Union Station.
