A flair for alt-country sounds, melodic pop-hooks, and a voice that can blast it to the back of the room, Steady Habits is the vehicle for the poignant, narrative-driven songwriting of Connecticut-native Sean Duggan.
Now firmly established in the UK, Duggan has carved out a unique space for himself and the band. Recognised by Country Queer as an integral part of "the youthful side of Americana," Steady Habits approaches songwriting with a rare duality: the sensitivity of a queer artist navigating their past, and the raw, unvarnished grit of classic folk-rock. It is a sound that feels familiar yet distinctly contemporary, reminiscent of the indie-slacker reflections of Wednesday & Medium Build and the sophisticated heartland resonance of Jason Isbell and Dawes.
