Comedy in the Beer Garden
Comedy in the Beer Garden at The Black Friar Salford
About the show
Part of our summer-long Boddingtons Variety Nights, this comedy special takes over the Tavern - our covered outdoor space, transformed with seasonal decor, its own dedicated bar and plenty of cold drinks on tap. Expect a buzzing atmosphere, great drinks, and the perfect setting for a summer night of live comedy.
Featuring - Faizan Shah

Faizan Shah has found great success in his very short career, he won the Gong Show, Stockton Arc gong, finalist in the Beat the Frog World Series and Liverpool Breakthrough Act of the Year and a semi finalist for the BBC New Comedy Award. He was also shortlisted for Best Breakthrough Act 2023. Faizan moved to the UK as a child and his well crafted jokes make light of growing up in an immigrant household in his trademark deadpan manner.
Bethany Black

Decidedly dark and deliciously different – a one way ticket to a world you never knew existed. Despite being 'unique', she's warm and chatty and has built a cult following for her brand of confessional comedy.
'Outstanding comic, laughs just keep on coming' (Channel 4).
Garrett Millerick

Garrett Millerick is a London based writer, director and comedian.
A regular on the stand up circuit, Garrett can be seen up and down the country in a variety of guises but mostly as himself, saying what he thinks about things in pubs/ theatres/regional art centres and the occasional music festival. He can be seen performing regularly at The Schadenfreude Cabaret in North London where he is the resident compere.
'Millerick is a belter of a new comedian, well worth shouting about' (The Stage)
'... avoided cliche and made contentious points convincingly, though all in the name of a laugh rather than setting out any serious manifesto... Storytelling is clearly in Millerick's genome...a solidly enjoyable way to see out the midnight hour' (Chortle).
'Undeniably honest and hilarious' (Three Weeks).
Jacob Nussey
Beat the Frog and Won Ten Feet Tall Gong winner with cleaver sharp jokes and hilariously ill-fated
anecdotes.
