Polesworth Comedy Club returns this December for a huge Christmas Special packed with top-class live stand-up. A brilliant festive night out, a fantastic atmosphere and a line-up you can trust.
Our last Polesworth show sold out four weeks in advance. Christmas is always a popular one, so early booking is strongly recommended.
Headline Act: Christian Reilly An internationally acclaimed musical comedian who turns the familiar frustrations of modern life into hilarious original songs and razor-sharp routines. Clever, inventive and brilliantly original, Christian is always a huge hit with audiences.
Opening Act: Andrew Maxwell A hugely respected comedian and familiar face from Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Andrew combines razor-sharp observations, brilliant storytelling and infectious energy.
Also Appearing: Jo Enright Known for her appearances in After Life, Phoenix Nights and The Job Lot, Jo is also an outstanding and hugely experienced stand-up comedian. Warm, wonderfully funny and effortlessly engaging, she has a brilliantly distinctive take on everyday life.

Featuring - Christian Reilly
Now a solo headline act all over the globe, Christian uses his improvisations, sharp wit, youthful energy, guitar skills and vocal mimicry to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians with his charming onstage confidence machine-gunning impossibly catchy tunes with hysterical lyrical content. His solo Edinburgh Festival Show, ‘Lost In Music’ was sold out, critically acclaimed and was the winner of the 'Spirit Of The Fringe' Award.
In 1999 Christian started playing guitar and singing for the American comic polymath Rich Hall. High points included winning the Perrier Award in 2001 for "Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw", being on subsequent CD and DVD releases, seeing the world, appearing on stage with Seinfeld star Michael Richards and getting on Late Night with Conan O' Brien.
He was a regular on a BBC radio show with the Richard Herring, called That Was Then, This Is Now that was critically acclaimed
and lasted for 3 series. This led to a key role in Herring’s groundbreaking podcast, As It Occurs To Me which ran for three years and won a Chortle award for best internet comedy and appearances on Radio 2’s ‘Jammin’.

Andrew Maxwell
Dublin born stand-up and part of the I'm A Celebrity... line-up in 2019. He also narrates the MTV reality show Ex On The Beach.
He's the winner of The Time Out Award for Best Live comic, Chortle's best live comedian, Best Irish Comedian and Channel 4's King Of Comedy.
Jo Enright
Birmingham's most prestigious female comic who is 'fresh, honest and thumpingly funny' (What's On). Her comedy is broad, lively and poignant, centred around autobiographical humour. She may be tiny, but her jokes are huge!
Jo hasstarred alongside Steve Coogan in I’m Alan Partridge and with Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights. Other comedy roles include in
BBC Two Sitcom Lab Rats playing the part of Cara and on BBC/HBO’s Life’s Too Short as Warwick Davis’ wife Sue. Jo has crafted a completely unique style of stand-up comedy.
As well as accepting numerous invitations to perform it both on television and radio, Jo also thrives on live theatre performances, for which she has won several comedy awards including the Chortle Award for The Best Female Circuit Comic and Best Female on the Jongleurs Comedy Circuit award.

Stevie Gray
Oldham-born Stevie Gray is a cheeky and very likeable comedian. Stevie's stage act fuses jokes, music, news stories and audience participation to create an up-tempo energy in any room. Stevie has appeared all over the UK, playing the Edinburgh festival, the Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Glee as well as making regular MC appearances for Funhouse Comedy.
