Funny, raw and heart-warming, Remember you are beauty full follows the mystery of a young woman, Alanah, whose life has lost its shine. Since her marriage evaporated, she’s distracted herself by holding everyone else’s life together - elderly neighbours, endless clients at the family planning drop-in centre, and her high-maintenance friend’s impending wedding. When inexplicable and flattering graffiti appears on the wall outside her flat, Alanah begins to realise that perhaps she is not as lost as she may feel. But who has sprayed the graffiti? Why? And what does it mean?

Matthew McVarish’s sharply observed one-woman play is a love-letter to ordinary people surviving extraordinary loneliness. Laced with fierce humour, heartbreak and hope, it captures the wit, resilience and quiet heroism of working-class Scotland.

Originally premiered at Òran Mór 2012 and hailed by The Herald as “the best play in any theatre in Scotland this year,” Remember you are beauty full is an unforgettable journey through loss, laughter and rediscovery, reminding us all that we are, indeed, beauty full.

Directed by Patrick Sandford, returning to Perth Theatre where he began his career 40 years ago.
