Our Land

Ours is a country with a vast variety of landscapes and waterways, from high hills to verdant valleys. But most of us never get to enjoy and appreciate anything but tiny patches of it.

Our Land seamlessly juxtaposes the two sides of the debate around our access to nature, giving voice to the different perspectives: those fighting for greater access to the countryside and the landowners who claim to be stewards of the land.

Taking us to the heart of the Right to Roam movement, Our Land embarks on a provocative trail of mass trespass, campaigning and education. It also explores landowners’ concerns around environmental protection and the danger such widespread access could pose to a landscape already under threat. “Informative and uplifting”, says the Financial Times.
