About the show
From the earliest days of movie-making to the present day, through rare and unseen footage, we see the changing relationship the British have with their land - from images of local celebrations and festivals to agricultural practices through the seasons.
Unique footage shows Britain's evolving connection to its land, capturing village life and lost crafts and festivals, farming, village traditions and forgotten crafts from cinema's beginnings to today.
All is brought into the present day with original music by Portishead’s Adrian Utley and Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory.
