About the show
On Saturday 25th July, Danny Bowes will take to the stage at 16.30 for an unmissable hour of stories from his life and career, none of which could be described as dull. With his trademark humour and sharp wit, he’ll have you laughing out loud and maybe even shedding a tear. This is just part of Weekend of Wheels 2026, a full weekend event held at Moorgreen, Nottingham (NG16 3QZ), just off M1 J27, packed with live music, attractions, traders, food, drinks, military display and possible BBMF fly by, with entertainment for all ages hilariously provided by Acacia Radio 1287AM.
Why not make a full day or weekend of it? Bring your tent, caravan, or camper and enjoy everything the event has to offer, from on‑site food vendors and a licensed bar to kids’ rides, live bands, Air Ambulance fundraiser, and a variety of stalls.
Camping is limited to 80 pitches, please book in advance to avoid disappointment! Gates open from 15:30 on Friday 24th July, with Unforgiven on stage at 9pm.
Danny’s exclusive Saturday appearance, is limited to 250 tickets and it’s shaping up to be a fun filled set. Also appearing on Saturday are Midnight Shift, Calming Storm, and The Mighty Traitors. Appearing on Sunday 26th July are Danny Fisher with his Elvis Presley tribute, and Miss Charlotte Porter, bringing jive, jazz and swing.

Danny Bowes is a British hard rock singer best known as frontman for Thunder. Following an accident that almost claimed his life in 2022, he went back to hosting his much loved show on Planet Rock radio but was unable to perform with Thunder. IN 2024 he announced he was going back on the road with a Q&A show featuring personal anecdotes, humorous stories, and behind-the-scenes tales from his decades-long career in music.
