About the show
Celebrating the iconic Frank Sinatra who was born in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1915, this show is far more than a tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes. The magic of Sinatra live in concert is captured perfectly by the award winning David Alacey who is recognised worldwide as one of the leading interpreters of his music.
This lavish production encapsulates not only the wonderful hit catalogue of the original legend, but also the remarkable personality of the star who ruled the world of entertainment for over half a century. It also features The Swinging Buddy Greco Band under the Direction of BBC Musical Director Mac Shone.
Buddy Greco who was a member of the extended Rat Pack at The Sands in the sixties with Sinatra said of David’s portrayal “this guy really is Sinatra! It’s frightening” He even asked him to record a version of the classic “One for my baby” with him! Alacey is joined in the show by Special Guests including The Legendary all-round entertainer Anita Harris, who will not only be singing her hits including “Just Loving You” and “The Anniversary Waltz” but also recalling her days as a dancer in Las Vegas.
All of the hit songs and anthems made popular by Sinatra such as “Come Fly With Me”, “The Lady Is A Tramp”, “My Way”, “Strangers in The Night” and of course, New York New York are included along with many rarer gems.
