Set within 550 acres of walled Park, Althorp was built in 1508 and has been the home of the Spencer family for 500 years.
In 2015 Althorp will be open to visitors, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, with the last admission to the House at 3:45pm, and to the Stables and Grounds at 4:00pm. In August only, Althorp will open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm:

Guests are invited to discover nineteen rooms in the house, in the company of one of Althorp's expert tour guides, and learn the fascinating history of the Spencer family - whose historic home Althorp has been, since 1508. They will then explore magnificent interiors and one of Europe's finest private collections of paintings, furniture and china. All visitors are invited to wander round the Gardens, the Arboretum, the new Spencer Exhibition and the Stables, at their leisure, and to enjoy refreshments in the Stables Cafe.
