Moor Poets presents: An Open Mic Poetry Evening

Moor Poets is “a community of friendly poets based in and around Dartmoor in Devon” – for more, see moorpoets.weebly.com. This evening of poetry readings features Fiona Benson, reading and talking about her work, plus an Open Mic session.

Jean Sprackland is the author of five collections of poems and, in Strands, a series of haunting and evocative meditations prompted by walking on wild, estuarial beaches in the 
north west of England. 
She has been shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection, the Whitbread Prize and the T. S. Eliot prize. She was chosen as a Next Generation Poet 
in 2004 and won the 
2007 Costa Poetry Award.
