Lacuna Coil
A heavy, but very haunting, band from Italy. Their trademark sound has been painstakingly developed since the band's formation in 1998. Their music could be described as 'gothic', but it is also utterly unique, carried along by the wonderful vocals of Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferra, and the instrumental skills of several very talented musicians. They have won themselves a dedicated fanbase, both in Italy and abroad.

Nonpoint
Nonpoint only becomes fiercer with each subsequent album. After 17 years in the game, the Florida quintet sustains the same energy that sparked its foundation back in 1997. The riffs crack with neck-snapping intensity, the bass and drums forge an unmatched groove, and the vocals rapidly recount stories of pain and perseverance. The band remains as raw, ripping, and real as these musicians—Elias Soriano [vocals], Robb Rivera [drums], Rasheed Thomas [guitar], Adam Woloszyn [bass], and B.C. Kochmit [guitar]—get.
