Barry Lucas ‘When Rock Went to College’ in conversation with Mark Swindlehurst + local ‘Grass Roots’ music with The Limes.
A Friends of The Platform Morecambe fundraising event
For fifteen years between 1970 and 1985 Lancaster was one of the world’s great live music venues. Rock and pop legends from every corner of the planet shook the stage at Lancaster University’s Great Hall, and they all shared one thing in common – they were booked by Barry Lucas.
In conversation with Mark Swindlehurst he will give us insights into all the ‘behind the scenes’ gossip, not only about those days but also his impressive list of involvements with top artistes, from around this country and the world, from 1985 up until today.
Barry must be the only man that can boast the he turned down The Rolling Stones, Abba, and Bruce Springsteen – and those are just three of his stories!
Don’t miss this ‘Evening with Barry Lucas’ – a fun evening with great ‘Grass Roots Music’ support, and raising funds to guarantee that ‘the iconic venue The Platform – Morecambe survives and thrives.’
