About the show
We all know about the Norman Conquest of 1066 and the death of King Harold. But what happened to his children and the other survivors of the royal line? Some sought refuge in Scotland. Waltheof and Hereward became legendary for rebelling against the Norman invaders. Here is a generation of young people who navigated a changing world, trying to make sense of it all.
Eleanor Parker is Lecturer in Medieval English Literature at Brasenose College, Oxford. This is her second visit to StonyWords.
