About the show
Our Classical Music Series presents Ruby Howells on Flute and Rodolfo Albero on piano. A star student at London’s Royal Academy of Music, Ruby Howells is now quickly establishing herself as a versatile soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She has performed with the London Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, and the Kensington Symphony Orchestra, of which she is principal piccolo.
Back on the Festival Centre stage in the town where she grew up, Ruby’s programme will include George Benjamin’s little known soaring solo piece ‘Flight’ and Poulenc’s ever popular flute sonata – ‘A great rainbow of melody.’
