About the show
What do you hold onto when you're told you have between two and four years left to live?
Sir Chris Hoy is one of Britain’s greatest Olympians. A six-time Olympic gold medallist and 11-time world champion, his career was built on mastering the split-second moments that define victory. In 2023 he faced a different kind of challenge; learning to live with a Stage 4 Cancer diagnosis.
In this conversation, Chris will speak candidly about the years since his diagnosis, the grief, the recalibration, and the unexpected clarity that can follow. He'll describe founding Tour de 4, the charity cycling event that brought together over 5,000 riders last year and raised more than £3 million for cancer charities. He'll talk about the role of his family— including his wife Sarra, who received her own serious diagnosis at the same time—and the way crisis can strip life back to what genuinely matters.
