Currents is the new standard for death-infused metalcore. This is emotionally fraught and impossibly angry music soaked in cold, depressive atmosphere. Currents explore the forbidden realms of a tortured psyche, searching for meaning amidst uncertain chaos and venom.

CASKETS

CASKETS appearing at this event

Caskets (formerly Captives) are embracing vulnerability. Having established an intricate blend of melody and riffs on their introductory ‘Ghost Like You’ EP, the Leeds based five-piece are now looking inward at the lessons they wish to impart. “Break these chains”, vocalist Matt Flood repeatedly sings on album opener ‘The Only Ones’, testament to the freedom gained from their willingness to open up and be heard.

This confident message unfolds around his dynamic vocals, honed through a range of previous musical endeavours, and perfectly complimenting the band’s mastery of heavy and soft. It’s dominated by the band’s forward-thinking attitude, with Caskets set to further reinvent expectations of metalcore and post-hardcore.
