About the show
Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Soul Revival (SSR) has been bringing alternative pre-1975 music from Saigon back to the stage since 2016. Through electrifying live performances, the band honors the original composers and singers of the golden era of Nh?c Vàng, while applying new compositions and interpretations of old Vietnamese songs.
The core lineup consists of five members: Nguy?n Anh Minh (vocals), Indy Jeremy Vinh Laville (guitar & ?àn Nguy?t), Nguy?n H??ng B?o Hi?u (drums), Gabriel Kaouros (bass/percussion), and ??ng Nguy?n Khoa (keys).
With tight grooves, psychedelic textures, and a powerful, distinctive sound, SSR has performed countless shows across Vietnam, including major events such as Quest Festival, Vibe Nation, and Mui Ne Music & Art Festival.
Saigon Soul Revival return – quite literally – in 2026 with “Ch?n Ta V?” (THE PLACE WE RETURN TO), an album that represents both a musical and emotional homecoming. Producecd by Jan Hagenkötter and recorded once again in Ho Chi Minh City, the album blends Vietnamese musical heritage with contemporary global influences.
