He reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You're Funny competition in his first year of performing and is now a "rising star of the British stand-up scene" (The List). He has taken three hours of stand-up to the Edinburgh Fringe, the latest being 2018's A Kealy's Heel - "a storming show" (The Sunday Times) which was met with full rooms and critical acclaim. “This is clever comedy...you’ve done yourself some internal damage from laughing so much” - Shortcom "Well thought out and insightful...extremely funny...a very enjoyable hour of comedy" - Theatre Weekly “Fresh, insightful, and original...a great hour of cerebral stand-up & Alex Kealy is a name to watch” - FringeGuru “A fascinating hour...marvellous stand-up” - The Skinny
