About the show
Phil Underwood and Denise Dryburgh are a husband and wife duo singing lively, funny and soulful original and traditional songs accompanied by melodeons, concertina, fiddle, banjo, guitar and percussion. They perform traditional music, mainly from the British Isles but also spiced up with a pinch of Americana, Blues, Cajun and World music. Having lived on the English canals they add a large dash of self-penned canal songs. In addition Phil has won several international awards for Cajun and Zydeco music, he also writes and performs musical plays about the canal and the sea, including many of his own songs. In August 2026 they will be taking their canal themed show The Horse that Jumped at the Moon to the Edinburgh Fringe.
