Flute players have cause to thank inventor and composer Theobald Böhm, who greatly improved the instrument during the 1840s. Elizaveta Ivanova, winner of the 2023 Geneva International Music Competition, makes her Wigmore Hall debut with a programme complete with Böhm’s spinetingling transcriptions of peerless songs by Schubert.
