This all-star band, led by keyboardist Basil Hodge, will perform a range of music from Africa. It is Jazz fused with Afrobeat, Township and Funk from such artists as Felu Kuti, Manu Dibango, Abdullah Ibrahim.

Basil Hodge
Basil Hodge is a young pianist-composer from Ilford, Essex who has been a regular fixture of the London jazz scene for over a decade. You can catch Hodge leading his trio and providing support for such musicians as Jim Mullen, Dave O'Higgins, Byron Wallen and Renato D'Aiello. He has been influenced by musicians such as the pianist McCoy Tyner and Horace Silver whose styles are clearly heard in his playing and compositions.
