Hosted during Tinnitus Week (2–8 February 2026) in the iconic setting of London’s Union Chapel, this concert brings together an eclectic line-up presented at carefully managed sound levels designed to be comfortable for people living with tinnitus or sound sensitivity.

Featuring Chris Tofu, Cosmo Pyke, Daisy Chute, Kate Ireland, Justin Sullivan of New Model Army, Rob Newman and more to be announced, audiences can embrace acoustic moments, beautifully shaped melodies, and sharp words and wit.

Audiences can expect a warm atmosphere where artistry and advocacy come together in a tapestry of performances designed to be enjoyed safely and comfortably in Union Chapel’s unique space.

The evening has been programmed with thoughtful acoustics and sound engineering guided by the WHO Global Standard for Safe Listening at Venues and Events, ensuring a rich and engaging experience delivered at safe listening levels. This commitment ensures that everyone can enjoy the night without compromising hearing wellness.

Thanks to ACS Custom’s sponsorship, every attendee will receive a pair of ACS Pacato 16 earplugs on arrival. These high-fidelity earplugs, paired with our controlled sound environment, underline our dedication to safe listening for all.

Penguin Cafe

Penguin Cafe appearing at this event

Penguin Cafe was founded by Arthur Jeffes in 2009 as both a continuation of and homage to his father Simon Jeffes' original avant-pop band Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Distinct from the original ensemble, Penguin Cafe features no former members of PCO, but they perform some of their compositions, and play a similarly uncategorizable blend of folk, jazz, pop, and chamber music influences, occasionally using unconventional instrumentation. Penguin Cafe's music has infiltrated daily life; from films such as Napoleon Dynamite to countless theme tunes, they've also played festivals from Bestival and The Big Chill to a sold out Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms. Their sound is at once familiar and new, combining acoustic power and a beguiling, feisty charm.

Cosmo Pyke

Cosmo Pyke appearing at this event

Cosmo Pyke is a young songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Peckham. Raised on a diet of blues, jazz, hip hop, and neo-soul, he writes warm, lo-fi songs that he describes as 'spacey, beautiful, and lazy'. His songs draw less on other music and more on his everyday experiences growing up in south east London: reading books, going to pubs, playing football, and other simple pleasures in life. Besides being a musician, Pyke is also a skater and spray paint artist as well as a model.

She has toured internationally singing across Europe, America and the Middle East and went to the Far East and Russia with the RSC and National Theatre of Scotland as an actor/musician. She writes and sings folk songs inspired by her Scottish and American roots, and has received awards from renowned songwriting competitions including Nashville's Songdoor, BBC Young Composer, Burnsong and UK Songwriting Festival.
