Thanyia Moore

Thanyia Moore appearing at this event
Described as ‘Moore by name and moorish by nature’, Thanyia Moore has always held a love for comedy, but despite a background in acting and dance, she didn't find the confidence to tell jokes on stage until much later in life. With a brutally honest ‘matter of fact’ stage persona combined with charm and razor sharp wit, she's taken the comedy circuit by storm with show after show as one of the hardest working comics around. Winner of the coveted Best Female Newcomer Award at the 2013 Black Comedy Awards, she's definitely a talent to look out for. 'I haven't seen anyone like you since Gina Yashere... (Richard Blackwood) 'Thanyia is what was missing from urban comedy. A funny woman with an opinion' (Kojo) 'Thanyia presents her comedy with a real zest and hearty feeling that demonstrates she adores comedy... And the audiences adore her too in return. A pleasure to watch and laugh' (Mr Cee) 'Thanyia Moore has come on to the stand up circuit with a style, hilarious wit, brutal honesty and flair that has made her infamous – traits which I think will make her famous!’ (Dane Baptiste).
