Four Walled Boyfriend, written by Lee Slater, is an intimate romantic London-set play unfolding almost entirely within one bedroom. Lenni, a romantic and self-aware queer person, begins a secret relationship with the ‘down-low’ Jarrell, shaped by pressures beyond the room. What starts as a casual encounter deepens into a passionate but fragile bond that can only exist in private.

As Lenni longs to be loved openly, Jarrell struggles with vulnerability and risk. To what extent would you keep your sexuality a secret? With humour and sharp dialogue, the play navigates intimacy, vulnerability and the chaos that arises when our carefully built walls begin to crumble.
