Michael Weston King & Lou Dalgleish close out the year with a special show on Tuesday 1st December at The Water Rats as part of the London Roots Festival.
As My Darling Clementine they are known for their signature blend of classic country duets, richly drawn storytelling, and beautifully observed songs of love, loss and longing but this new date offers something different.
They will play 2 x one hour sets;
The first a deep dive into the back catalogue, featuring My Darling Clementine classics, fan favourites, and some lesser heard album cuts.
The second set will shine a spotlight on their individual voices. With both releasing solo albums this year, Lou and Michael will present a number of these new songs, accompanied by a full band.

Singer, songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player, who has released 9 solo albums, including the highly acclaimed protest album "I Didn't Raise My Boy To Be A Soldier"
From the mid to late 90's he was the leader of British alt-country pioneers The Good Sons, who were are highly regarded in both the US and across Europe. They released 4 album and collaborated with Townes Van Zandt
He is currently one half of My Darling Clementine, the band he formed with his wife Lou Dalgleish in 2011, releasing 5 albums to date. https://mydarlingclementinemusic.co.uk
As a songwriter, over 70 different artists have recorded Michael’s songs.
The songbook, Beautiful Lies, was published in 2005 and a forthcoming book of lyrics, 100,000 Words, will be published in the near future.
2022 will see the release of his first solo album in 10 years, "The Struggle" which will be released April 1st on Cherry Red Records.
