Hugh Pascall
Hugh Pascall is an award-winning trumpet player and composer from a musical family, born in Nottingham in 1983. He studied on the prestigious Royal Academy of Music jazz degree course with Gerard Presencer on a Full Entrance Scholarship, graduating in 2006 with a 1st class BMus (hons) and LRAM teaching diploma. He was the Academy’s 2005 Scott Philbrick Jazz Prize Winner and one of the first Sir Elton John Scholarship holders, studying also at the Paris Conservatoire for one year as part of the Erasmus programme.

Winner of Parliamentary Jazz Award 2011, John is is an experienced composer as well as a classical and jazz pianist, He has toured the UK and Europe and has worked with the Lighthouse Trio, Tim Whitehead, Rioplatenses and his own trio.

Matthew Holmes
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Graduate (2020) and winner of the Tony Levin Drum Prize (2019) Young Musicians Company Finalist (2023), drummer Matthew Holmes is a notable figure amongst the UK jazz scene having performed extensively around the country at venues such as; The Barbican Hall, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Pizza Express Soho, The Southbank Centre and Cafe OTO.
