Wim Mertens

One of the most intriguing of Belgian musicians. His work is extremely diverse: beautiful miniatures and impressive cycles, stirring film sound tracks and music for theatre, serious ‘chansons’ and simple refrains, as well as hits like ‘Close Cover’. Apart from performing with his ensemble he also plays solo (mainly on piano but also on guitar), often accompanied by his distinctively high voice.
