North West London popstar-in-waiting YAZ makes infectious, confessional pop rooted in diaristic lyricism and big-room hooks. Born to North African and Eastern European parents and raised in Camden, she grew up immersed in music, from drama school and choir to learning the drums, piano and guitar.
