About the show
Andy Bell (Ride / Oasis) has collaborated with Essex-based harp / synth duo Masal for a second album of kosmische, astral jazz and Turkish folk.
'Common Primitives' is released via Sonic Cathedral on October 9th 2026, and to launch it the trio play two intimate shows at SJQ in London.
Plus special guests and DJs to be announced.
Featuring - Andy Bell (Oasis / Ride)
Andy Bell is a defining figure in the British alternative rock and shoegaze scenes. He co-founded the highly influential band Ride in 1988. After Ride split in 1995, he formed Hurricane #1 before joining Oasis as their bassist in 1999.
He has also released solo music and has collobrated with many electronic producers over the years.
Masal
Masal is a collaboration between Al Johnson and Ozlem Simsek. Ozlem is a Turkish multi instrumentalist whose middle eastern background is entwined with her western studies in classical music. Al performs psychedelic electronic music as Alien. As Masal they weave harp, Theremin and electronics into a beautiful aural journeys.
