Join us for Friday Night Jazz at the Atrium Bar & Restaurant, President Hotel, Russell Square. On 28 August, we are delighted to present the outstanding saxophonist Tim Whitehead, accompanied by Soner Ersen (piano), Andy Cleyndert (bass), and Gary Willcox (drums).
Tim Whitehead is one of the UK's most respected jazz saxophonists and composers. A former winner of the BBC Jazz Award for Innovation, he has enjoyed an international career spanning more than four decades, performing and recording with many of the world's leading jazz musicians. Known for his powerful, expressive tenor saxophone sound and compelling original compositions, Tim has appeared at major jazz festivals and concert venues across Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Asia. His imaginative playing, lyrical improvisation, and commanding stage presence have established him as one of the defining voices of British jazz.
Together, they will present an evening of outstanding live jazz, featuring exceptional musicianship, inspired improvisation, and a unique programme shaped by Tim Whitehead's distinctive musical voice.

Soner Ersen
Soner Ersen is a London based jazz pianist and educator. He participates in different projects as a pianist, keyboardist, composer and educator. He is currently teaching at London Music House and gigging in London and abroad with his trio/quartet.
