Suna's musical journey is a celebration of cultural diversity and artistic expression. While her heart remains rooted in Kurdish folk songs, her performances weave together a captivating tapestry of Armenian, Greek, Arabic, Sephardic, and Turkish music.
Each note carries Suna's unique, soulful touch, promising a truly unforgettable experience. Suna has graced prestigious stages, including the Southbank Centre's "Women in Music" concert series and the iconic Royal Albert Hall, where she supported earthquake survivors in Turkey and Syria as part of the Solidarity Ensemble. Her performances transcends borders and cultures.
Suna Alan is a Kurdish singer based in London. She grew up in traditional Kurdish dengbêj (*bard) music and a rich cosmopolitan cultural environment in Izmir, Turkey. Although her main focus remains Kurdish folk songs, her repertoire also includes Armenian, Greek, Arabic, Sephardic and Turkish songs.
