About the show
Traveling from Oaxaca, Mexico, to perform as part of the UK-MEX 2026 initiative, this very special collective take us on a journey through the soundscapes of southern Mexican son jarocho music and dance, the folk poetry of the fandango, and bonds of community friendship forged in London, sharing stories of global journeys that have sparked a love for the land and a spirit of community resistance.
La Colectiva Sonera de los Valles de Oaxaca is a community project deeply engaged in cultural activities both nationally and internationally. Join them for a night of music, dance, poetry and special guests.
