About the show
As we are coming up to Christmas, we invite adults, children and families to come and enjoy this special festive event. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the death of Oscar Wilde, Irish actress Veronica Quilligan will be reading the fairy tales which Oscar wrote for his children.
Veronica was introduced to Oscar’s stories as a child by her mother and was
instantly captivated. Since then she has read them to her own children and anyone
else’s who would listen. With humour sprinkled throughout the exquisite language, these
compelling and heart-breaking tales of friendship, love and enlightenment will stay in your
memory always. Children will love them as will any adults who were once children! Come
along and bring a handkerchief.
